Telephone triage appointment system Posted or Updated on 4 Jun 2020

We are now operating a new telephone triage appointment system. This means that if you wish to make an appointment with a Doctor, you will first be offered a telephone call back from the Doctor. The Doctor will then call you back on the same day and the problem may then be dealt with either over the phone or you may be offered a video consultation or an appointment to be seen at the surgery at a time to be agreed between you and the Doctor.

Telephone triage appointments can be booked by calling the appointments line anytime from 08:30 in the morning or by using the on-line booking system. You will be called back on the same day but not at a specified time. You can request a timed slot if you are working and need to specify a time to be called.

We have removed the division between booking appointments in the morning and afternoon and request all calls to be made in the morning if possible in order for us to plan the day's workload.

Medical emergencies will be triaged at any time during the working day.
Appointments with the Nursing team can be made in advance by calling the appointments line.
